May your year be one of unlocking your talent, heart, wishes and love.
Hi, My name is Marie Seltenrych and I own this website.
I have been telling stories for a long time and writing them down over the past 20 years or so. I just love a good yarn and the excitement of seeing someone's eyes widen as the story progresses. During covid last year 2019-2020 I completed a full story about a knight in broken armour, Garty Musdo. He is seriously funny but charming.
My husband was the first to review this book and he could not stop praising the character. It is the first time I have written thoughts and desires from a male perspective and it was really a great exercise and fun to do. Men seem so much less complex than women. As a complex woman, I believe this to be true.
I love all the books I have written. I fall in love with my characters and allow them to rule my life while I am writing their stories. It is a very exciting method of writing and sometimes challenging when I reach a writer's block. It should be called, a "character" block. Because it is the character who will not yield to the master!!
Wishing everyone the best Christmas despite the Covid warnings and the terrible news items we are all seeing daily. My heart goes out to all those who have suffered loss this year including my own family, who lost our beloved Sam in Scotland. (R.I.P) Those of us who have survived must be thankful for just that at least.
Please obey the medical directions for the Covid challenges we are receiving daily. Those medics and leaders are doing their utmost for us all to reach another milestone, 2022. God bless you and keep you and may His Face shine upon you continually. Love Marie

Truth is one of the most essential ingrediends for human beings to survive. Without truth there are only lies and deceit.
Reading Isaiah 11 last night I was struck by this whole chapter and especially verse 5: He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment.
Earlier that day I was working on my newest fictional novel, Quest & Crown (being published shortly) and one section deals with the protagonist losing his undergarments. It was a poignant moment in his time that did not happen as planned because of his undergarments being stolen. (You will need to read this book to find out more)
Finding this verse in the same day caused me to meditate on this subject whilst the other person slept. It was late night and the best time to get close to God, in the darkness and quiet. I thought about truth and what Jesus said. "I am the Way, The Truth and the Life, nobody comes to the Father but by me."
In the Isaiah verse, wearing truth is said to be like an undergarment. It is not easily seen. It is close to my body. It is an intimate garment that we keep private. It guards our most precious parts. What a beautiful way to express truth? Sometimes our truth is challenged and it is never easy to fight for the truth if lies and deceipt are hammering our minds. We must guard what we have been given from God. The truth is essential in everyday life and it sometimes causes us to be more corageous than we really are. But, do try to be truthful as much as is possible. That's what I do.
Regarding truth, it is essential for our souls to prosper. But, I can assure you that there have been times in my life when I have hidden from truth and even denied truth because of fear. Once, when I was about 7, I was at the home of a neighbour who cared for my younger siblings as my mother had to work in a factory. On the way into her home I stepped on a doggy doo (very common back then). I did not notice until we were seated at her table in the kitchen, eating a snack. The woman said, "What is that smell? Who brought in doggy doo?" I realized that it was me, but I was so scared that I just kept really quiet. There were about 6 kids in her small kitchen and nobody found out where the smell came from. I was quickly out the door as soon as possible, scraping this horrible stuff from my school shoe. If I had owned up to this I am sure I would have been set free from that terrible smell much quickler, and everybody else. But, I hung onto my deceipt because of my human fear.
What is it about truth that is so important? I have learned to value truth along with righteousness over the years since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and the Holy Spirit has been my constant companion. As I thought about truth, I found a wonderful peace dwelling in my soul that is essential for my being. When Jesus Christ returns to reign on the earth, there will be true righteousness and truth. Lies will have no place in the Lord's house.
Even though I value truth and need it every day, I sometimes fail, being human and weak at times. I look forward to enjoying a full world that embraces truth in every way. Jesus said, "Truth will set you free." Get it and you will find such a special place inside you is much happier. It really does set us free, and we must treasure this gift of God's given to us if we ask for it. It has made a big difference in my life and I will treasure truth until I gain a better body in a truthful world.
